Ingredients
1poundground beef
1onion, chopped
1green pepper, chopped
1cupsour cream
1 cupheavy cream
1tsp.salt
1/2tsp.black pepper
1/2tsp.garlic powder
2cupsshredded cheddar cheese, divided
4cupsfrozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
Instructions
Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Drain if needed.
Add sour cream, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and 1 cup of cheese.
Stir in thawed hash brown potatoes.
Pour mixture into a greased 3 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Notes
To make this a freezer meal:Cover unbaked casserole tightly with foil and place in the freezer. Thaw casserole in refrigerator overnight. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.Alternatively, place frozen casserole in oven. Turn oven to 250° and bake for 2 hours until hot and bubbly.
